Why do we ask clients to reply to our questions within a 24-hour deadline? Why the hurry?
The best resumes are written ‘fresh’. By that I mean, the client’s background and achievements are fresh in the writer’s mind. It helps to build a seamless and quality product.
If we leave a resume for three or four days or longer, the writer has to ‘start again’ and work out where he or she is in the writing process.
By then we have another four or five clients coming in behind them.
We aim to finish standard resumes in a week and executive resumes in nine days.
We create resumes with the same exacting standards as corporate pitch documents.
Accuracy, brevity and currency are our three cardinal rules.
We never sacrifice quality for speed.
When clients say to us, “I’m in no hurry for this”, we get worried. It often means the resume is not ‘top of mind’.
About 90 per cent of our clients want the resume asap. They want that job or promotion. That’s our key market.
If you’re not in a hurry or you can’t write to a 24-hour deadline, I’d recommend shopping around.
