I’ve changed the terms and conditions, which will help clients who are die-hard job seekers while eliminating ‘window shoppers’.
Prospective clients now need to provide us with their old or current documentation within 24 hours of our request.
The reason is, we can have up to seven or eight enquiries open which are a week old, yet they don’t send their old resumes or cover letters for a quote or respond to our emails.
That’s not a good sign for an online business, which promises to provide the client with a high quality resume in seven days or less.
It also means we can’t scope out future work.
When we terminate them they say they ‘forgot’, the ‘email went to spam’, they had to ‘fly to Bulgaria’, their ‘dog died’ or ‘they’re not in a hurry’, etc.
There are plenty of ‘cut and paste’ resume writers who will help them. Some will take weeks writing a standard resume.
Nothing personal. It’s a business decision.
In the world of recruitment and employment services, professionalism and meeting deadlines is paramount.
