Getting jobs for locals

Pick an ADELAIDE resume writing business

Only business owners notice the fluctuations of their businesses on Google.

Google just did an update which means rankings on Google Maps are all over the place.

These usually happen twice a year and can take a few days to settle down.

A few observations from the Republic desk. I’m getting resumes coming in from dissatisfied clients who went to resume writers who purported to live in Adelaide. They don’t.

They know nothing about the Adelaide economy or job market.

I laughed last year when I tracked one so-called local resume writing business and found the ABN was registered to someone in Pakistan. That business was sold to a dodgy essay writing factory in Sydney but says it is still trading as a resume business in Adelaide city.

Another has dropped a Google pin near the Arkaba Hotel but it’s trading out of Melbourne. All of it’s Google reviews are from Melbourne punters.

If you are writing resumes for people in Adelaide, you need to know the local political, economic and social climate.

You need to know something about The Crows and Port Adelaide, Mali, Coopers, Haighs, the submarine project and more.

You need to read The Tiser and InDaily and listen to the ABC.

I don’t make too much of localism but if you’re writing a warehouse resume, you need to know something of local transport logistics in the northern and southern suburbs.

If you are looking to get your resume written or upgraded, check out who you are dealing with.

It can save you money and hassle.
