We’ve had to close for a few days (opening Sunday 31 Oct) as demand has swamped supply, with prospective clients as far as Perth and Brisbane looking to book in. We are working on the backlog now.
I can’t remember a busier period, in large part due to state economies opening up after the lockdowns and rising business confidence.
But also due to the fact that we write original, bespoke resumes, rather than cutting and pasting text.
There have been some troubling issues locally (Adelaide) with the submarine project. That has kept us busy as defence workers try to avoid the pending ‘valley of death’, as the old project winds down and the new nuclear-powered subs come on line.
As of this Sunday, we will be focusing on employment service requirements of the general public.
I have also been most pleased with the mid term application success of our clients. If they don’t get the first job they apply for, and keep applying, within six months, around 60 per cent of them have landed not just any job, but a targeted job – a job they really wanted.
The world of recruitment and labour hiring is changing and Republic Resumes is changing with it.
