Here is some longitudinal data on Republic Resume successes gained from us reaching out to clients and/or from their LinkedIn sites.
Currently (last six months), a targeted resume and cover letter has a 65 per cent chance of getting short-listed. This depends on the industry. We do very well with trades, administration roles and specific professions. This is roughly the same when we collected data four years ago.
Of those who are short-listed and who use our pre-interview guidance, 63 per cent get the job.
For those who know statistics, that’s an impressive record. But the real claim to fame is that this success is founded not only on my current knowledge and experience of numerous employment sectors, professional writing acumen and skills in marketing. It’s also based on how motivated the client is.
If we go one year out, 49 per cent of clients have gained a new job using our resume. We can’t take all of the credit there but even in general terms, that’s a strong result.
A uniquely crafted resume will beat a ‘cut and paste’ resume every day of the week, because it reflects the professional and personal qualities of the client.
