The lockdown in SA, after five people tested positive to Covid-19 (delta), has wiped about $200M off small business revenue in the last week.

Adelaide is tumbleweed city as state debt will rise to a colossal $34B over the forward estimates, which means massive job losses and service cuts.

Another $200M will be wiped off small business in the lead up to Spring, when their doors open to empty streets, as consumer confidence nose-dives.

“We hate to put these restrictions in place but we have just one chance, one chance to get this right,” Premier Steven Marshall said.

Hundreds of thousands of people across Australia have lost their jobs and tens of thousands of small businesses have gone to the wall due to the lockdowns.

On the weekend we saw the economic middle class (and some whackos), hit the streets as our state governments punch their one thought: lockdown.

The truth is while the dole lines lengthen, the Federal Government didn’t order nearly enough Pfizer vaccine.

With a one in a million chance of dying from the AstraZeneca vaccine, the media has focused on death.

The lockdown strategy and the media are part of the problem. My advice? Get vaccinated while you can.
